| POSITION | QUALITY MANAGER |
| RESPONSIBILITIES |
- Managing all Quality Assurance and Quality Control functions for the facility and managing the laboratory.
- Acts as Internal Audit Coordinator and HACCP Team Coordinator for the facility.
- Ensures full execution and compliance of the facility regarding Quality Management Systems, food safety programs based on 21 CFR, FDA, and customer requirements.
- Supervises the Quality Assurance team for the facility.
Duties and responsibilities also include:
- Manages Quality Management Systems, including food safety, food security and quality, ensuring regulatory compliance that includes food labeling, food standards, organic foods, EU, and Kosher requirements.
- Internal auditing for food safety, security, and quality.
- Manage customer complaints, including performing root cause analysis and activating corrective action.
- Develop and implement technical procedures, lab methods, and work instructions.
- Responding in writing to all audits and audit findings.
- Assure that laboratory analysis is accurate and appropriately correlated.
- Act as HACCP Team Coordinator.
- Maintains Kosher and Organic certifications.
- Provides method training for GMP, Allergen, Food Security, HACCP, and Laboratory Methods.
- Maintain and ensure internal audits are performed as scheduled.
- Ensures HACCP plan is current and verified.Ensures implementation and utilization of microbiological control program, including environmental monitoring.
- Manages the QA team, including lab technicians.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in related Technical or Scientific field.
- 3 - 5 years of demonstrated work experience in Quality Assurance in a Food Manufacturing or Food Processing environment, preferably dairy.
- 3 years of supervisory experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency managing in a 21 CFR environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Security, HACCP, and Laboratory Methods.
- Excellent communication skills, including teaching and coaching.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrated ability to positively contribute in a team environment.
