POSITION MAINTENANCE MANAGER
RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

Other duties may be assigned.
1. Manage maintenance of company grounds and facilities at Binghamton and all divisions, utilizing in-house resources, vendors or company personnel.
2. Oversee the development of budgets, plans and schedules for construction projects.
3. Develop and design plans and prints for projects.
4. Manage subcontractors and vendors during all phases of construction.
5. Monitor budgetary guidelines established by company in order to maintain budgets.
6. Assure that maintenance group performs all established preventative maintenance functions; continually refine and improve preventative maintenance system to reduce failure and M & E costs.
7. Assist in monitoring and managing the use, cost and expenses of utilities.
8. Maintain compliance of Regulatory regulations for storage tanks with DEP.
9. Responsible for maintaining a current awareness of OSHA issues, and implementation of requirements for ensuring a safe working environment working with Safety Manager.
10. Is responsible for adhering to and ensuring that all corporate and departmental policies are being followed.
11. Teambuilding and communication within department and cross-functionally.
12. Take proactive approach to plant and facility maintenance activities.
13. Assure all quality and safety procedures are maintained within the department.
14. Attends all required meetings.
15. Maintain a positive, clean progressive work environment for all employees.
16. Communicate with all management personnel and subordinates on a regular basis to be aware of their needs.
17. Provide management support on all shifts and weekends as required.
18. Other duties as assigned or necessitated by change or condition.

1. Ensures corporate budgets are met.
2. Projects completed within scheduled time lines.
3. Facility meets or exceeds corporate standards.
4. Minimal or no Compliance issues.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervise approximately 7 employees in the Maintenance and Property and Grounds Departments. Responsible for the direction, coordination and evaluation of these employees. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization?s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

 

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelors degree or equivalent from four-year college or technical school; or 5 7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in preventative maintenance and project management required.
