· Improve system utilization by increasing the reliability of plant manufacturing equipment including process, packaging, facilities, utilities and material handling.
· Provide technical leadership and support for the evolution of reliability centered maintenance, which will lead to productivity improvement and a reduced maintenance cost/case.
· Identify, implement, and communicate productivity improvements.
· Support and lead CI initiatives in the areas of Focused Improvements, Planned Maintenance, Autonomous Maintenance, and Early Management.
Failure Analysis & Prevention Program
1) Lead failure analysis efforts such as FMEA, Why/Why Analysis, Cause Mapping, and other problem solving tools such as root cause analysis
2) Evaluate equipment failures using failure forensics
3) Participate in focus improvement (FI) activities and recommend changes to the care of the equipment to prevent failures
Reliability Measures
1) Utilize MTBF, MTTR, availability, and other data to prioritize areas of focus
2) Promote, track and lead reliability growth. Educate people on plant metrics and relate them to the plant goals and objectives (including reliability, system performance, productivity, and others)
Early Management
1) Update reliability, maintainability, life cycle cost, and machine acceptance standards in the Manufacturing Requirements document. Train others and support the use of these documents.
2) Develop and update component and machine installation standards
Training & Development
1) Build technical mastery using Learn-Do-Teach principles.
2) Assist with the identification of required maintenance skills and the development of training assessments.
3) Provide significant change leadership to continuously improve plant culture and systems.
Maintenance Program Development
1) Assist with the development of short-term goals and objectives.
2) Coordinate equipment improvement efforts with maintenance, engineering, and operations.
3) Participate in the identification of the future maintenance culture.
4) Utilize CMMS system reports to develop priorities and justification.
5) Identify maintenance methods as part of the Reliability Centered Maintenance process
6) Maintain and expand on lubrication program
7) Actively participate as a leader in plant CI initiatives, specifically Specialized Maintenance.
8) Work with Engineering to ensure that maintainability and reliability principles are integrated into all capital projects.
9) Promote the use of maintenance metrics (Planned maintenance rate, schedule compliance, PM completion, reliability, etc.)
Additional accountabilities
1) Serve as a key interface between Maintenance and Engineering personnel to ensure that appropriate resources are effectively focused on increasing reliability.
2) Conditioned based monitoring including tools such as oil analysis, ultrasonic inspections, infrared analysis and gather and interpret data from various data collection systems and nontraditional PDM tools.
Qualification Education Requirements: Bachelors degree in Engineering

2) Understands the proper elements of a Preventive / Predictive Maintenance program
3) Has a proven track record of excellent results in previous positions
