JOB REQUIREMENT:
1) UNDERSTANDS THAT ALL OTHER VERBAL OR WRITTEN REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS DEPARTMENT, APPLY TO THIS POSITION AS WELL.
2) MUST DEMONSTRATE AN ABILITY TO COOPERATE PRODUCTIVELY WITH ALL PERSONNEL.
3) MUST DEMONSTRATE A WILLINGNESS TO SET GOALS FOR MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL AND HELP THEM TO ACCOMPLISH THEIR OBJECTIVES.
4) MUST BE WILLING TO WORK LONG FLEXIBLE HOURS AND INCLUDING WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS IF REQUIRED.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) THE MAINTENANCE FOREMAN MUST ALWAYS BE THINKING OF HIS SAFETY AND THE SAFETY OF HIS CO-WORKERS. THE MAINTENANCE FOREMAN MUST NEVER DO ANYTHING THAT COULD CAUSE SOMEONE TO BECOME INJURED.
2) TO BE CERTAIN THAT COMPANY AND CONTRACTING PERSONNEL ARE FOLLOWING ESTABLISHED SAFETY POLICIES WHILE ON THE JOB.
3) TO BE CERTAIN THAT ALL COMPANY AND CONTRACTING PERSONAL ARE FOLLOWING ESTABLISHED COMPANY POLICIES REGARDING THE CONDITION MACHINES ARE LEFT IN AS IT RELATES TO THE SAFETY OF PRODUCTION.
4) TO BE CERTAIN THAT COMPANY AND CONTRACTING PERSONNEL ARE FOLLOWING ESTABLISHED POLICIES REGARDING THE CLEANING OF PRODUCT CONTACT SURFACES IN POST REPAIR SITUATIONS.
5) MUST DEMONSTRATE AN ABILITY AND WILLINGNESS TO MOTIVATE MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL THROUGH GOAL SETTING, AND SHOW SINCERE APPRECIATION OF WORK WELL DONE.
6) TO COVER FOR ANY OF THE TEAM LEADERS IN THERE ABSENCE.
7) TO ASSIST THE MAINTENANCE MECHANICS DURING NORMAL OR EMERGENCY BREAKDOWNS CAUSING DIRECT PRODUCTION DOWNTIME OR LOST TIME.
8) TO FREQUENTLY REVIEW THE MAINTENANCE MECHANIC’S ABILITY TO QUICKLY AND CORRECTLY REPAIR MACHINERY CAUSING PRODUCTION DOWNTIME OR MATERIAL LOSS.
9) THROUGH TIMELY COORDINATION WITH MAINTENANCE MANAGER, RESOLVE ALL PERSONNEL CONFLICTS INVOLVING MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL.
10) WILL MAKE SURE ALL MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL ARE FOLLOWING COMPANY POLICIES AS REQUIRED.
11) WILL MEET DAILY WITH THE PRODUCTION SUPERVISORS IN ATTEMPT TOWARDS PRIORITIZING AND ACCOMMODATING THE MAINTENANCE WORK LOAD SCHEDULES.
12) WILL DO WEEKLY AREA INSPECTIONS, IN REFRENCE TO SAFETY.
13) WILL DO WEEKLY PM INSPECTIONS AND TURN IN PAPERWORK TO MAINTENANCE MANAGER.
14) WILL COORDINATE ALL MAINTENANCE PROJECTS AND DAILY WORK LOADS.
15) WILL REVIEW ALL MACHINERY WHILE IN OPERATION AND WORK WITH THE MAINTENANCE MECHANICS TO POINT OUT NEEDED REPAIRS.
16) WILL DELEGATE ALL MAINTENANCE REPAIR SLIPS TO THE PERSONNEL AS THE PAPER WORK IS ACQUIRED.
17) MONITOR ALL GREASING AND PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE PROGRAMS.
18) TO EVALUATE ALL MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL EVERY SIX MONTHS AND REVIEW WITH MAINTENANCE MANAGER.
19) TO KEEP THE MAINTENANCE MANAGER INFORMED AS REQUIRED.
JOB AUTHORITY:
1) MAINTENANCE PARTS IN NEED OF ORDERING, MUST BE APPROVED BY THE MAINTENANCE MANAGER.
2) WILL DISCUSS WITH THE MAINTENANCE MANAGER ABOUT HIRING OR POSSIBLE REQUESTED TERMINATION.
3) TO MAKE CLEAR DECISIONS REGARDING AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITY:
REPORTS TO THE MAINTENANCE MANAGER FOR ALL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY. IN THE ABSENCE OF MAINTENANCE MANAGER, THE MAINTENANCE FOREMAN WILL REPORT DIRECTLY TO PLANT MANAGER.
