APPLICANT MUST HAVE CURRENT OR RECENT FOOD/BVG EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED
Purpose
Provide leadership to the Maintenance Department in support of (4) manufacturing sites. This corporate position will be responsible to develop standards for all aspects of the maintenance function to enable the reliable manufacture and distribution of all finished products.
Work with each site Maintenance Manager to:
1. Ensure mechanical and electrical expertise is provided to the processing, packaging and automatic warehousing operations as required to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness.
2. Prepare and manage annual site Maintenance Department budget. Develop Key Performance Indicators to measure Maintenance Department performance and lead continuous improvement efforts which deliver on annual site goals and objectives.
Collaborate with Corporate Engineering on all capital projects to ensure cost efficient project implementation and sustained equipment reliability.
Responsibilities
Work with each site Maintenance Manager to:
1. Organize and manage maintenance staff to support production in a 24 hour 7 day per week operation.
2. Recruit and retain mechanical and electrical expertise to maintain production systems, utilities, buildings and grounds.
3. Develop site mechanical and electrical standards to improve OEE.
4. Utilize CMMS to optimize asset utilization through scheduled preventative maintenance throughout asset useful life.
5. Collaborate with Research and Engineering to design, specify, plan, implement and commission capital projects and ensure the delivery of project scope on-time and on-budget which meet agreed stakeholder expectations.
6. Provide technical leadership in developing means to improve equipment reliability.
7. Remain current with latest technology related to the manufacture of products.
8. Remain current with latest and emerging industry regulations and codes relative to Company mechanical and electrical systems design and operation.
9. Support technical training and development of mechanical/electrical talent throughout the organization.
10. Conduct an annual self-assessment of your performance which identifies opportunities for performance improvement along with a personal development plan.
Qualifications
Musts:
• 10 to 15 years experience leading a maintenance department which supports a 24/7 continuous manufacturing operation.
• 10 years experience in food, beverage or pharmaceutical industry and/or high speed packaged consumer goods manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated experience in department cost control and budget management.
