POSITION MAINTENANCE MANAGER
RESPONSIBILITIES

APPLICANT MUST HAVE CURRENT OR RECENT FOOD/BVG MFG EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED

 

The Shift Maintenance Manager is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems on all equipment associated with the production and including all building structures and utilities.  The Shift Maintenance Manager is also responsible for the direct supervision of all mechanics, electricians an all employees temporarily engaged in maintenance functions either on a part time or full time basis. 

Position Responsibilities:

Understanding and development of planned shift responsibilities and goals.  Supervision of mechanics and electricians so as to develop and meet goals and respond effectively.
Communicate status of shift results to the following shift production and maintenance personnel at the end of each shift.
Continuously improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
Responsible for all shift assignments, including PM's, changeovers and all breakdowns on assigned shift.
Decrease changeover times by implementing lean principles and training of all personnel affected.
Complete downtime analysis by identifying root causes.
Taking responsibility to initiate corrective actions and improve OEE for overall plant's performance.
Completion of all necessary reports, logs, and documentation as to the result of shift and departmental activities that include all of activities that include all facilities documentation of records for boilers.
Assessment of mechanic's and electrician's technical and troubleshooting skills.  Working with management to provide required training to improve technical and vocational skills of staff.
Superior knowledge of all machine function, controls, cause and effect of various adjustments,cleaning operations, manual, semiautomatic and automatic machine operations.  Knowledge of all facilities including boilers, HVAC and compressed air systems.
Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechnical schematic drawings and processes.  Ability to read, troubleshoot and repair these systems and processes in a timely manner.
Higher level of knowledge of all process support equipment, it's function and operation relative to the process manufacturing.
Ability to provide innovative approaches and designs to difficult problems.
Knowledge of Word, Excel and Windows.  Knowledge, implementation and operation of Champs/CMMS for Maintenance Management System.

Education

Associates Degree in technical field is desired 

Experience:

Minimum 6 years in related field
