Under the supervision of the Processing BUM, the Operations Supervisor directs the activities of the department in areas of Cooking, Blending, and Sanitation.  This position is also responsible for production scheduing, inventory control, quality, employee training, and breakdown / preventative maintenanance programs. The Operations Supervisor is to produce products efficiently,  safely, and in an environmentally friendly manner within established policies and procedures.  The Operations Supervisor advises the Processing BUM as a member of his or her team and may assume Processing BUM / Operations Sanitation responsiblilites in his or her absence.   The Operations Supervisor encourages employee growth and development to improve the overall strength of the organizarion, and to continue to provide a foundation upon which to build a high performance work environment. 

Primary Responsibilities

-- Supervises 1 Production Coordinator and related production employees on reporting shift.

-- Possesses a strong working knowledge of production operations, production  scheduling, quality manufacturing, just-in-time inventory control concepts, andpractices cost-effective labor utilization.  

-- Continuously emphasizes the importance of a safe and environmentally friendly work environment.

 -- Provides employees consistent feedback through QCDSM process to ensure continuous  improvement. 

QUALIFICATIONS

• BS/BA - FOOD SCIENCE OR ENGINEER
• 1-2 YEARS EXPERIENCE
• OPEN TO SHIFTWORK
• RECENT PRODUCTION EXP
