Position Summary
The IT Manager, E1 Manufacturing Solutions position reports to the IT Sr. Director, ERP Solutions and is responsible for providing systems support to all manufacturing areas in the Company, including support to senior management.
This includes managing all staffed manufacturing IT resources.
In addition, is responsible for managing the manufacturing consultants assisting.
Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities
Ensures timely implementation of manufacturing projects and user requests within budget and meeting previously agreed user requirements. Ensures that all necessary documentation is up to date.
Assists senior management with developing value-added manufacturing
strategies and process improvements for the Company
Develops and validates system implementation plans and requirements.
Work with users to develop/improve manufacturing management processes and implement systems to improve users productivity at all facilities
Manages staff of business analysts, programmers and/or consultants on
multiple projects simultaneously.
Organizes, hires, appraises and develops staff to maximize services to users
Controls use of Manufacturing resources and provides project status reporting

Education
Business Degree in Management Information Systems or related field with emphasis in Manufacturing. MBA preferred.
Other Competencies: Broad business and operational background spanning cross-functional areas.
Previous manufacturing management experience is a plus.
Experience / Background:
10 years of sound knowledge and experience implementing manufacturing value-added strategies, processes and systems.
Technical Skills:
• Project leader experience supporting JDEdwards EnterpriseOne software version 8.11 or similar
• Extensive knowledge of the entire Manufacturing suite within E1 with a heavy emphasis on multi-plant planning. Experience supporting high volume manufacturing a plus
· Strong Manufacturing Cost Accounting experience
· Knowledge and experience with Advanced Warehouse Management will be a strong plus
· Experience with project implementations including multi-company projects working with Business Consultants
· Project management and system development cycle experience is required
Inter-Personal Skills:
· Professional maturity and good communication skills
· Excellent inter-personal and facilitation skills to relate to users, peers and upper management.
Additional Position Information
This position requires a hands-on person that needs to understand down to the file level of the system. This job needs to have the skill set to perform managerial skills with an emphasis on day to day hands on trouble
shooting.
These are some of the skills that the IT Manager, E1 Manufacturing Solution position:
• Supporting day-to-day issues that arise with the E1 system and end users
• Understand E1 to be able to recommend solutions to enhance and improve the current setup or processes
• Ability to analyze process and procedures and recommend solutions
• Understanding of the integration and impact of changes on other modules for changes made to a process
• Experience with JDE E1 integrated modules, including configuration and hands on support:
o Product Cost and Manufacturing Accounting
o Inventory
o Manufacturing suite including Shop floor control and Product Data Management
o Planning/forecasting
o Familiarity with distribution, finance - G/L and A/P
o Exposure to Advanced Warehousing is a plus but not a requirement
• Capability to dig into how the business functions are structured and how they interact with the various applications
• Understanding user requirements and translating to functional specifications for changes or reports if required.
• Assist and help with Global roll outs based on new requirements, updated tool sets, etc.
• Good communication and customer service skills, ability to relate to users in business terms and relate technical solutions to business needs
• Ability to work with many different personality types inside IT and in the user community; ability to flex communication style, approach and content based on the audience
• Strong verbal and written English language skills are required.
