3.       Scientific challenge posed by introducing/implementing new technologies into complex product bases

4.       Maintaining integrity on highest quality experimentation under aggressive time pressures

5.       Mentor/supervise junior scientist(s)

Minimum Qualifications

·          BS in science discipline

Additional Qualifications

·          MS in Physical Chemistry / Cosmetic Science or closely related field

Key Experience

·          BS-- 10 plus years experience of product development of Hair care (Wash & care and styling aids) products

·          MS—7 plus years experience of product development of Hair care (wash & care and styling aids) products

Key Skills:

·          A thorough understanding of surfactant, polymer, physical and colloid chemistry.

·          An excellent knowledge of functional ingredients and their structure/functions/performance relation to their Hair care products and broad technical understanding of other disciplines

·          Thorough understanding of development and deployment process(techniques, procedures and check points)

·          Formulate stable, functional and consumer friendly hair care products such as shampoos and conditioners, creams measured by lab, salon, sensory and consumer test

·          Must have the knowledge of principles, theories and concept of polymers, silicones, surfactants and emulsions.

·          Demonstrate the ability to understand, interpret and clarify instructions, as well as guide, instruct, and advise others as needed

·          Must have the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships
